Duane Forrester Bruce Clay

By now, many of you have heard the news that former face of Bing webmaster related stuff has joined Bruce Clay to be their VP of organic search operations.

About a month ago, Duane announced he is leaving Bing to pursue other things. He made it sound like he would start his own company and go small. But he didn't. Instead he went to a not too small (but compared to Microsoft, very small) SEO agency named Bruce Clay, a company we covered here several times.

Bruce Clay and his company have been around forever - they have an excellent reputation and have done a ton for the industry. So I am not surprised to see Duane announce he has joined that team. I am surprised to see he didn't go solo and do his own thing. I did not expect him to join Google. So overall, I am surprised he is at Bruce Clay. I do wish him the best there.

Duane has a lot of experience practicing SEO, as he was the Microsoft SEO before he moved into the Bing search side of things. So it will be very interesting to see how he adapts to working at Bruce Clay, on the agency side.

Oh, Gary is having dinner with Duane but I doubt it would leave to working for Google:

I wish Duane and Bruce the best of luck and only success!
