Alan Turing Google Logo

On June 23rd, Google has a special Google Doodle/Logo for Alan Turing's 100th birthday. This logo is amazing, amazing in a computer science way. He developed the Turing machine in 1936, that manipulates symbols on a strip of tape according to a table of rules.

The goal with the Google Doodle here is to solve it by completing the letters of Google. Martin Mißfeldt posted an outstanding blog post in German on how to solve the puzzle. Luckily, he also did this awesome video describing the process:

Follow these steps and break the code:

In Wold War II he was responsible for breaking the German ciphers. But the turing machine played a huge role in modern computers as we have them today. In 1952 he committed suicide likely because he was convicted of homosexuality in the United Kingdom, when it was illegal then, and in jail he died from cyanide poisoning two weeks before he turned the age of 42. He has an amazing life, yet short, read about it on Wikipedia.

This logo might be the geekiest and most complex Google logos I've seen to date.

Can you solve the puzzle without the video?
