Google Shopping Adds Shortlists, 360° View & Quicker Browsing

Google ShoppingGoogle announced they made some improvements to Google Shopping before the holiday season - keep in mind, it is a paid product placement service now.

The new features include:

  • Holiday Shortlists: Premade categories of products you may want to by in the categories of electronics, toys, etc.
  • Custom Shortlists: You can create your own shortlists over here. This will let you keep track of products that catch your eye, compare products at a glance and collaborate with friends and family.
  • Better Browsing: Adding product preview details like sizes, colors and description, and find out if it’s available at a nearby local store.
  • 360° Product Views: You can view the products from all angles with this feature.

Are keywords out of the story already? I can still remember the times when they were used as often as possible just to get into the first page. Content has always been the key but what will be the trend now that hummingbird is here? Looks like infographic is getting it.

It is already fast working with Google but these improvements are always welcome. Now, it is easier for larger files to be seen by the public. There is no longer a need for tougher and bigger space just to accommodate it.

I am just happy they are finally getting behind 360 product photography. Our customers have never been unhappy with having great images of their products.
