Google Flight Results Now Show Sponsored Box With Images

I believe normally when you search for flights in Google, you get a sponsored box that shows a grid of airline choices with a date selector. It then takes you into the Google Flights/Travel experience. But it seems now, at least for some flight searches, Google is showing a more graphical look.

Conrad O'Connell shared on Twitter a screen shot of a search result user interface for a search on [myrtle beach to arizona]. I can replicate this, but I do think it is new, notice the images in the boxes:

When you do a similar search for let's say new york to seattle, I get the typical grid look:

Honestly, I prefer the grid look as opposed to the image based look but I suspect there are fewer flight options from Myrtle Beach to Arizona compared to New York to Seattle.
