Watch Google's Matt Cutts Get Fired Up

The video above of Google's Matt Cutts is rare in that he often doesn't show this much emotion and feeling in his videos.

He ranted about how so many people fall for "snake oil scam SEO" and then fall for it again and again.

Here are some quotes from the video, but this is a fun watch:

You're a webmaster and you don't realize that these people have 10 sock puppets?

You go with the guy who has trashed 10 websites, but he promises this time is different?

That guy doesn't know how Google caught his domain [that was penalized], he has no idea the different techniques or tools we are using.

At the end, Matt makes the plug to just go white hat now instead of playing the game.

His aggrivation about people falling for stupid crap reminds me of the best late night snake oil salesman of all time: the guy in the '?' suit who would sell books about getting tens of thousands of dollars from the government just by asking for it in a special way.

Dogfart Assassin, hilarious! Is this not a sign that the SEO industry is becoming more irrelevant?

Is this really Matt Cutts "fired up?" He may just be the calmest man on earth.

Another scam everyone should be aware of is the Amway Tool Scam. Google stoptheamwaytoolscam for more information, and forward this to every non-IBO you know, so they don't get scammed.

Oh Matt, we fell for YOUR snake oil and for Google's scams. Now shut the f up, you con-man. You and Google are rigging search and stealing from everyone: users and website owners. Yeah, a snake oil SEO caused Google's clicks on ads to increase by over 100% after Panda. You freaking POS keep lying and lying.

I think that layout changes to the SERPs and the massive increase in mobile clicks had far more to do with the increase in ad revenue than the animal updates. Couple that with an effective AdWords PR campaign, sprinkle on large companies getting into the AdWords game with huge spending budgets and Google realizes an increase in ad revenue. Not sure how others feel about it, but the "Panda and/or Penguin update(s) increased ad revenue by xx%" refrain always gets my 'this person doesn't really seem to understand what they are talking about' sirens going. Or maybe I don't know what I am talking about and should be ignored; it's a tuff call.

You Mr Google employee are trying to distract, ADS ON CLICKS increased by over 100% after Panda and penguin. Google is manipulating SERPs to increase ad clicks and Scum Cutts and his lackeys are trying to fool us. Look at the SEC reports for increase on ad clicks when Google Search is lost 1 billion searches a year. What happened to the ANTI-SEO name, didn't like it?

You are not clueless, you are just a Google employee. When Google shows informational SERPs for money keywords people click on ads. Just one example. Or when the same site has 10 spots, people click on ads. You fraud

Love the dramatic glasses being taken off. My biggest surprise is Google's insanely constant change to their own algorithm affecting sites (in the negative) that are doing ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong.

Matt there is a website that outranked my work for a competitive keyword using massive footer and sidebar crappy links from Russian pages. WTF? Black hat, link buy, link scheme and many more shitty work is still working in many case! Until you can't clean the crap, I'm not buying your go white hat shit!

Ironically, Google is ranking these snake oil SEO salesmen that Matt is referring too. Just look at the very lucrative SEO reseller or SEO provider niche (i.e. do a Google search for "seo reseller) and you'll see "200 social bookmarks", "1000 links built", "Google-accepted link building practice", "first page rankings in 6 months" and all the other sales lingo that SEO salesmen commonly use. If Google wants to clean up the industry, maybe it should stop giving exposure to these Blackhat SEOs then. You're just helping propagate your own mess Google.
