A WebmasterWorld thread is reporting additional sightings of AdWords ads at the bottom of the Google search results page. We have seen reports of this a year ago in 2010 and also back in 2008 and 2005. And now the reports are back and some searchers are seeing ads under the search results.
I cannot see it but here is a picture from last year:

Again, I cannot reproduce this myself but most of those who are seeing it are in the UK.
Do you see it?

Not seen that here in Sweden, at least I haven't yet. Funniest one we have here is on Maps, underneath the map. Talk about squeezing out real estate. Not sure if I've ever seen it on a US/UK SERP? Not that it's easy to notice mind.

Can't see them on a range of searches in UK yet, but am about to talk to Google so will ask if these are planned.

may only occur when margins are down for the quarter, or in a particular area

I also saw a similar thing - except there were only 5 organic search results - with 3 paid above, and 3 paid below. Stupidly I missed the screenshot opportunity.

I don't know what the big deal is. Yahoo and Bing have been doing this for a while now.

This might be the reason for Google to remove the search box from the bottom of the Search Results.
