Blue Arrows In Google AdSense Ads?

A WebmasterWorld and Google AdSense Help have people noticing a new format for Google AdSense ads.

The ads have large blue curved arrows and appear to be showing when viewing AdSense ads on iPads. Here is a picture:

Google AdSense Blue Arrows

I tried to see them myself of my iPad but I cannot see them - at least not on the sites I tried to see them on.

Do you see them? Is it just viewable on the iPad?

Yes. I saw the new ipad adwords format 3 days ago on one of my websites. I think the new format looks good on pads.

I've seen the same arrow icons on an iPhone. They draw more attention to the ads, but people will get used to them and ignore them. Maybe showing some small relevant images is a better idea.

I've been seeing them for a while now actually! Although I think it aesthetically looks good; as Alex said, I think these will definitely hurt CTR.

I've been seeing them for a couple weeks now.

Didn't Google Adsense change their TOS a few years back to ban users that added icons to the left of the ads to increase CTR and better integrate the ads to their websites?

Yes, but the images are added by Google now.

I think google is retarded. Sorry to say.  They want higher ctr on their ads, clearly, but they don't want to share with the publishers why an ad was declared invalid.
