Today is Google's 14th birthday, well some would say their birthday was on September 7th, but Google changed their birthday several years ago to be on September 27th.
To celebrate, Google has a basic animated GIF logo on their home page.
The logo has 14 candles on top of a cake. The cake is then eaten but it leaves a pattern of the Google letters so it remains a Google Doodle even after it is eaten. I am sure there is more symbolism here but I don't currently see it.
In all my years covering Google's birthdays, I've never seen such a large number of happy birthday wishes from users in the Google forums. I only listed a few below but there are literally tons and tons of good wishes from users.

For the past year birthday logos, see the 13th birthday, 12th birthday, 11th birthday, the 10th also, 9th, 8th, the 7th and 6th. The 7th and 6th were celebrated on different days than the later ones, due to there being confusion on when Google's real birthday is.

How do I love thee? I love thee infinity plus! No! You should have said, I love you infinity plus Google! Despite the exigencies of business - image, profit, the bottom line - Google has made an outstanding effort to main an authentic, user-friendly environment in which both decent and not so decent views can be expressed freely - with an aim to always respect and duly consider the conventions of civil discourse. Google will suffer the imperfections of its makers, its users, and the demands of time and money; but, its presence is an inestimable boon to our time, and to the life of Net that characterizes now. Caveat emptor is a perennial warning, but I am glad to have Google as a friend! Happy Birthday! Here is to the spirit in the circuitry that makes it go, and the to human spirit which fires your vision! Google is the glue that holds us together, (and, to mix my metaphors) the single candle in the darkness that has become cyberspace...or so it seems at times.

Happy Birthday Google -- which I definitely cannot imagine life without!! What in the world did we do to begin a search before GOOGLE? I cannot remember..... This is one tool that I use hundreds of times a week. I hope GOOGLE exists for a long time to come!!
