Back in July, we reported an issue with Bing sitemaps files being stuck in pending status.
Back then, Bing confirmed there was a bug for some webmasters:
Our product team is aware of this and is being addressed at this time. Currently, we have no ETA yet due to testing and developing.
Personally, none of my sitemaps in Bing are in pending status. But for some, including one webmaster complaining in a Bing Forum thread, the issue is still there.
Will from Bing even confirmed there is still an issue and said:
Currently our team is looking into the sitemap submission and is working on a fix. There's no ETA at the moment, so please be patient.

I think it has now been resolved and there are not in pending state.

As of 10-26-11, Bing still has issues with sitemaps. Though, mine say error with some sitemaps and others which are built exactly the same are accepted. This has been a reoccurring issue for several months. I highly doubt this will be fixed anytime soon. It is Bing, after all.

I'm sure this is related to why I still have a malware warning although it has been removed.

I have the same problem, but i have being waiting almost 3 months and it still shows pending. I have contacted Bing with the issue and they told me they would get back at me to not worry and to rest sure… It has being almost 3 weeks now and i have not heard jack from them… I contacted them again this week but as usual they did not get back at me… customer service seems to be no good… I have resubmitted the sitemp twice and still PENDINGThey could of at lease told me they are aware and they working on it... I went crazy posting this post all over the place... lolNote For Bing;Let ur users know about this type of things....
