A featured WebmasterWorld thread has tips on what things to look for when purchasing links. I thought I pull out 10 of them to make a top ten list:
- Relevancy to your page
- Alexa ranking
- Site popularity in niche
- PageRank
- Site health in search engines
- Location of links on page
- Site rankings
- Do they look bought?
- Are your links useful?
- Number of other links on that page
The list is in no order, just some highlights from the WebmasterWorld thread.

Alexa ranking at #2? I sure hope that list is not order of importance.

Chris, "The list is in no order" as I stated above. Give me a break, I am rushing to get everything done with the blogs, my business and personal stuff before heading over to the conference where I will be covering all these sessions for you guys to read.

I'm actually surprised that Alexa is even on this list.
