Another Big Brand SEO Company Banned by Google?

Recently we had the well-known and discussed traffic power ban and now it looks like a big name SEO company based in the UK has been banned from Google. I have never heard of them, but the forums are buzzing about BigMouthMedia being de-listed from Google. Several current searches show that BigMouthMedia not listed as #1 for its own brand name, also no results for the site command.

Ammon Johns at Cre8asite asks; "is this a new sign of aggressive defence of its algorithms by Google?"

I am surprised that Google banned BigMouthMedia even they have "http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" on their homepage.

It might be a client specific thing. I know the girl that did the SEO for them awhile back, and I can certify that her work was completely whitehat. However I bet they probably got hasty and either their tactics with clients were suspicious, bad linking networks, or bad SEO on their site.

Is it really ethical to Name the Business and publicize their possible bad luck without fully knowing the facts - these people are trying to earn a living and survive in the world. Supposed the rumours turn out to be false - the bad publicity will add insult to injury... There could be database and programming imperfections in Google that could cause this drop, especially considering they are archiving Billions of pages constantly --- even a tiny tiny fraction of one percent of technology flaws are understandable, when looking at it in complete perspective.

We report forum discussions. I made no claims to the forum discussion being true. All I claim is what the forum says, no more. As a reader here for a while, I would have thought you would know that.

haha search engines web, you know there's no such thing as bad publicity! :p If anything, being banned by G may be considered a badge of honor to some.

I found an old usenet post, describing how Big Mouth Media had been allegedly spamming a client's site with links to their own site and, what do you know, the same client appears to be full of spam too! http://www.davidnaylor.co.uk/archives/2006/02/20/bigmouthmedia-bye-bye/#comment-5848 I was trying to find reasons why they might have been delisted, but now I am trying to work out how they got reincluded. :)

Things seem to go a little deeper than this now as two of their clients have been'outed' as having hidden text on their sites. Shame on them.
