Google Maps Adds Two Levels of Higher Resolution

Over at Digg.com we have a quick entry named Google Maps gets ready for Hi-Res Satellite Images. One of the comments notes that the "new zoom levels are 100ft and 50ft." They report that NYC, LA and San Francisco have this, but I personally do not see it.

I saw the two extra levels earlier, but no images were available. I can't see the two extra levels now though, so I guess Google has removed them again.

MSN is already at 50 ft. I guess google wants to be competitive. These types of aerials are usually available in the States for very urban areas and areas undergoing dynamic change.

I'm about to make some additions to my site/business web with MSN's shots which were excellent for a particular need. If google is there also...all the better. Its probable though both services are purchasing the aerials from the same source(s).
