Search Images by Drawing a Sketch

There is this new creative way to search for images, that currently doesn't work too well, but it still is very cool. It is named retrievr and you can search the Flickr image database by sketching something in real time. I found this by way of John Battelle via Research Buzz.

I had to start a thread on this at our forums, under the title, Image Search via Sketch.

Outstanding Gary. Thank you for sharing!

it doesnt work too well at all. i did a sketch and then sketched my version of one of the images that appeared (a finger with a face drawn on it) and the image I was sketching disappeared from the results list! all it really does is find images with similar pallettes. lame.

can I suggest the free software SearchByDrawing from http://www.sepham.com ?
