Using RSS to Improve Yahoo Search Success
DigitalPoint forum thread named getting listed on Yahoo in 24 hours argues that by adding an RSS feed to your site and ensuring Yahoo knows about that feed, will in fact get you indexed more quickly. Of course this is disputed and there is no scientific proof of this as of yet.
In the context of tagging, RSS is an invaluable SEO tool. But outside of that, it does clearly help with site visibility. Black arrow is the Yahoo! Directory listing for this site, the blue arrow is the RSS listing for this site and the green arrow (box) is the My Web tagging I have done for this site. All of this increases the visibility of ones listing in the SERPs.

Yes, I too would love to see some proof...
I tested this with 3 sites - after I read a posting (maybe here) about Yahoo's RSS Publishing "how to guide".
The only site that I saw a difference for was a Blog Site that did get listed with the feed quickly. And this could be related to the fact that it is a blog
Anecdotally: Also tested this with MyMSN and pinging MoreOver - and saw a quicker response. All three sites were added to MSN quickly... but then again who really knows why….
I'll have to check that thread out….

BTW:
Did you notice in that Yahoo search for “seroundtable” the Blogger: Email Post to a Friend” link? Hmm…
I’ll have to test that… maybe we'll see that as a " ________ hat" tech soon - lol
Have a great day!
