10:53:34 AM Barry Schwartz: You can't ignore Google+ if you are hoping to do well with Google Search
10:56:46 AM Barry Schwartz: In the old days, your web domain was your identity. The rankings were based off mostly on links pointing to the web page. Now you can use rel=author to link your page to your name. Now, with Google+ page, you can link your web site to your page as well.
10:57:14 AM Barry Schwartz: Put this all together, we start with what is this page about, through rich snippets, schema.org/microdata
10:57:55 AM Barry Schwartz: They tie that in by seeing who is interested in it via +1 and who wrote it via rel=author
10:58:43 AM Barry Schwartz: Then they use that info to see who's interested in them (the people who +1 the content and the people who write the content) (i.e. circles)
11:00:04 AM Barry Schwartz: An example is Joe's Camera
11:01:04 AM Barry Schwartz: Pick and area of expertise such as point and shoots. Create a Google+ page. Find great content across thew web (some i might create), then post about that content on the + page. Then promote yourself as an expert because I am and people add you to circles, etc.
