Google Won't Tell Webmasters Which Links They Do Not Count For Spam Reasons

As many of your know, the Google link report in Google Search Console, the links to your site report, shows all (most) of the links to your site. It includes followed, unfollowed and discredited links, etc. It shows it all and it does not let you filter which links are unfollowed, disavowed or discredited by an algorithm.

Gary Illyes said on Twitter the reason they don't let you filter by which links are discredited is because it will give "link spammers everything they'll ever need." This implies that it would give spammers what they need to counter-attack Google's link spam algorithms, such as Penguin.

He added, Google has no plans to ever add such filters to the link report in the Google Search Console.

Here is his tweet:

There are third-party tools that do filter nofollowed and try to filter disavowed links and even attempt to figure out which links Google discounts behind the scenes. But those are not from Google and are third-party tools.
