Google: Single Or Double Quotes Both Work The Same

I've been writing about search topics here for almost 12 years and every day, I try to find about five new things to bring you. It isn't easy. :) But today I spotted something most of you probably never thought about. Is there a difference between using a single quote or double quote in your HTML syntax for Google purposes? Would Google follow a nofollow that uses a single quote to enclose the URL or nofollow directive?

The answer is, it makes no difference. Both single or double quotes are fine.

Gary Illyes from Google said so on Twitter the other day saying "it's fine, both single and double quotes work, it doesn't matter."
