Google No Hack

This month, Google's Webmaster team had a #nohack week, where they went through tons of information around hacking on the web,

They also posted a couple polls on their Google Webmaster Channel on Google+.

One poll shared that 36% of the webmasters who answered the poll admitted their sites were hacked. I bet that number is way higher.

But maybe more interesting, of those who were hacked, 66^ of you currently said you fixed the hack yourself.

So of those who were hacked:

  • 66% said they fixed the hack themselves
  • 11% said they worked with their web hosting company to fix it
  • 10% have not been able to fix the hack!
  • 6% said they hired someone to fix it

Catch up on all the nohack stuff at the Google+ Google Webmaster Channel.
