Google is working on fixing a bug with Local Service Ads where it seems Local Service Ads are being unlinked from the associated Google Business Profiles. There are also complaints of instability and slowness on the Local Service Ads platform.
Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads Liaison, posted on LinkedIn in response to some complaints, "We identified a bug and are actively working to resolve it." She added, "This is unrelated to the migration" of LSAs to Google Ads.
Which bug is being fixed? Well, Jack Hepp mentioned a couple bugs with Local Service Ads, and I suspect it is the one where Google unlinked some Local Service Ads accounts with Google Business Profiles. Jack wrote:
Over the weekend, our longest running LSA was unlinked from the associated GBP for some reason and I had to contact support yesterday to get it relinked. I'm not sure this is related, but ugh...
He added:
However, the issue is that I also can't seem to the LSAs in any of our associated or active Google Ads accounts. So, as of now I just don't have any access or insight??I haven't received any further communication from Google other than to say that if your Google Ads account isn't linked to a GBP then a link will be created for you during the migration.
He also complained about the stability issues with the platform. He wrote:
Also, since yesterday I keep getting off and on errors when trying to access the LSA accounts. As of this morning, I haven't been able to access the LSAs yet and keep getting errors. It makes sense as yesterday was the last day to download data.
Although, I am always hearing of complaints around accessing the Local Service Ads platform.
I am trying to get confirmation that this is related to the linking of LSAs to Google Business Profiles.
