Google has removed the exact size and larger than search tools for image search. There are numerous complaints about this in the Google Web Search Forums and Google has yet to chime in about this feature going away but it is now getting some coverage from more mainstream blogs.
Here is a screen shot of what the "size" tool does not, which only includes any size, large, medium and icon:
Previously, as I documented when Google accidentally removed this feature before, it also had larger than and exactly. Here is that screen shot:
The folks in the forums are not happy, here are some quotes:
In my industry, search by size is an absolute necessity. Please restore this functionality as soon as possible.You can still make searches by size, but you have to go through the advanced search options...not fun...not fun at all.
I can only wonder why they would remove this feature. It's the one reason why I choose Google over other search engines. It seems like such a huge step backwards...
I am not sure if removing this was a bug or a feature?
