Google has expanded the Western Union Adsense payment option to more countries.

Currently, Western Union payments are available in:

  • China (Mainland)
  • Malaysia
  • Pakistan
  • Romania
  • Philippines
  • Argentina
  • Chile
  • Peru
  • Colombia

But the recent buzz from two different threads, one at DigitalPoint Forums and the other at WebmasterWorld seems to imply they expanded the offering to other countries.

If you read the WebmasterWorld thread, you can see the official Google representative claiming this is a new launch. AdSenseAdvisor said:

Glad you noticed. :) Yes, publishers with individual payee accounts in certain countries can now receive their payments through Western Union Quick Cash.

We haven't officially announced the launch yet because there were a couple language translation issues, which should be fixed this afternoon. However, this feature has successfully launched, and if you live in one of the countries contentadsblog mentioned, you can sign up for this payment method now.

Expect a blog post once all the kinks are worked out. For now, you can find more info at http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/topic.py?topic=10830 .

There are no fees associated with this new option.
