Marcia, Search Engine Watch Forums Moderator and well known forum personality, has started a thread at Search Engine Watch Forums asking members if they Would you tell just one secret? The thread has been getting some momentum, so I decided to sum it up.

Marcia's Secret: "It takes a bit of work, but MSN Search likes "minty fresh" websites."

SuperZu's Secret: "Something I did that worked really well in Google was adding a CSS drop-down sitemap-like menu to the home page, in addition to the regular navigation menu."

IdahoGuy's Secret: "quite a few referrals from various Wikipedia pages lately Gotta love the "external links" feature!"

RandFish's Secret: "Once featured on the homepage of Digg.com, in a study of almost 400 sites, more than half gained 1000 or more links over the next 2 weeks. Not very secret, but very, very powerful."

G7Submit: "For a new site, once domain is registered, I never wait for the whole design and development to be ready before I start working. Instead, I write a copy and put it on the main page as a holding page instead of the usual common and boring stuff."

I didn't share them all here, so visit the thread to see more and share your own.
