Chris Chabot shared a picture on Google+ of one of the vending machines at Google. This vending machine doesn't drop anything that is edible. Instead it vends computer accessories and gadgets. Yea, a geeked out vending machine.

Not really a new idea. My sister's furniture warehouse has a vending machine that dispenses packing tape, twine, markers, etc. -- stuff the warehouse workers need to prepare furniture for shipping. They have to scan their work ID to get the supplies, and the vending machine keeps track of who gets what and how much, and send alerts for re-supply. It is a way for the company to keep tabs on who is using the supplies (and a deterrent to supplies theft) -- Google wouldn't be interested in anything like that would they?...

There is already a company out there my brother bought from that has been doing this. Innovative Vending Solutions out of Ohio is the company my brother's company dealt with. This is old news dude!
