Larry PageInvestor's Business Daily named Google's new CEO and co-founder, Larry Page as the CEO of the Year.

That is right, the late Steve Jobs was outranked by Larry Page in this report. Yes, Steve Jobs turned around Apple years ago to make one of the most successful companies today.

Larry Page, however, took a successful company that he co-founded, regained his right as CEO and then made drastic changes over the year. The success of Google did not slow a beat over his time as CEO at Google.

IBD said:

He reorganized the company's management structure, redesigned the face of the company's products and pushed forward with a multibillion dollar deal to acquire a cellphone manufacturing outfit.

He also launched two other products aiming at Groupon, the leader of online coupons, and Facebook, the top social networking site.

Google (GOOG) in the past two quarters blew away analyst views while boosting revenue by 32% and 33%, respectively.

"Google (GOOG) in the past two quarters blew away analyst views while boosting revenue by 32% and 33%, respectively." Now we know why sites are making a lot less money and why Google loves Panda. 32%-33% increase in earnings is no joke, is it Barry? Did you ask Google how it happened especially when organic results supposedly improved?

@114d07189b77b2df1dfba312b429319a:disqus I'm right there with you.  Page is doing to Google exactly what all publishers are trying to do; keep users on your site longer.  They have accepted that people are slaves to their product.  It's just a shame that they have to make their products less effective to achieve their desired response.  It's got to be the only business in the world where you actually try to sabotage your own product to improve profits.  But then again, what webmaster didn't try adding fluff pages to get more page views, pre-Panda. Either I have totally abandoned G search, since Panda.
