Western Union Declines 5% Of Google AdSense Payments This Month

Google Western UnionOne of the payment methods that Google offers their AdSense publishers is via Western Union. Well, this month, about 5% of those payments were accidentally declined.

Google announced this in their Google AdSense Help forums saying:

A small number (~5%) of the payments we sent to publishers in the following countries were incorrectly declined by Western Union and need to be re-issued. No action is required on your part. We are working with Western Union to complete the configuration changes and will automatically reissue the payments. We expect to complete this in the next 24 hours.

It only impacts those in the following countries:

  • Egypt
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Cambodia
  • China
  • Indonesia
  • Malaysia
  • Nepal
  • Pakistan
  • Singapore
  • South Korea
  • Taiwan
  • Thailand
  • Vietnam
At least you are in good company, if you were impacted by this.

Hope Western Union steps up and throws in some percentage extra to those affected. It may be no big deal for Western Union, but being late on the rent, or power, or other payments can drastically affect the wellbeing of those affected. ::puts away soapbox::

Sounds like you need to start saving. Western Union doesn't care about you. They only care about MONEY and how much of your money they can get in a transaction!

Has nothing to do with me. I have never used Western Union and I don't use AdSense.

So you're just trolling? :D

Maybe the meaning of the word trolling has changed...

I was declined too, though they reissued and its fine now. But there was two different sender address on statement on AdSense and statement by Western Union. As well as receive address is different in western union , they use my previous western union address where I withdraw last month. I think Western union is messed up.

There is the problem in this case since there is a mutual understanding between Google and Western Union the issue will be, if not already resolved amicably
