Google To Webmasters: How Should We Improve Web Search & Webmaster Tools?

Jan 15, 2015 - 8:10 am 14 by

google light bulb ideasThis morning, Google posted on Google+ a request for webmasters to submit their ideas and suggestions on how to improve Google Web Search and Google Webmaster Tools.

Google said that they'd "love to hear your feedback & collect your suggestions on the kinds of things you'd wish to see being added, improved, removed, or changed by the Webmaster Tools and websearch teams at Google."

They set up a moderate page for you to submit your ideas, as well as up vote your colleagues ideas. You can access the page over here - I do suggest you give your input now.

Some of the ideas already submitted include:

  • Better back link filtering
  • Increase of historical webmaster tools data
  • Better search query data
  • Improved Webmaster Tools API
  • and many more...

I personally submitted a request for an automated action viewer, so up vote that please over here. :)

In any event, this is your chance to be heard.
