Most of you who read this site daily are very active Google Analytics users, so you probably already heard the news that Google Analytics is rolling out a new version - version five.
Google said they want the new version to make "it easier and faster to get to the data you want." Google also added a lot of new functionality to the Analytics package. Daniel Waisberg of Conversion Journey did a great job covering the changes at Search Engine Land.
Here is a screen shot of the new top bar from Daniel:

Justin Cutroni posted a video walk-through of the new package.
I personally do not have access to the new interface, I am sure I'll get it as it rolls out but if you want to request earlier access, you can use this sign up form.

It looks a lot more platform orientated now. As opposed to web based. desktop bound perhaps?!

best part so far for me - being able to keep a custom report open and flip through multiple accounts to view the same metrics/ dimensions without starting back at the stupid dashboard everytime. Interface is still kind of buggy though, at least in Chrome. draggable modules drag sometimes, not others...and I miss seeing the mo.over mo. +-% ....

Will same day data be available in the new version - as it currently is in the old version?
