3 Google AdSense Ads Per Smart Phone Landing Page

Google Mobile AdSense AdsMobile is over 8% of the traffic to this site and I do not have ads on my mobile templates yet - I guess I should change that.

Google now allows up to three Google AdSense ad units on mobile sites for smart phones.

A Google help page says you can have three ads on high-end devices and only one (maybe two) on WAP only devices.

How many ads can I show per mobile webpage?

Currently, publishers are permitted to display one AdSense for mobile (WAP only) ad unit on each of their WAP mobile webpages. If a double ad unit is used, please note that it may only be placed at the bottom of each page.

Publishers should use standard AFC ad units for websites formatted for High-End devices. In this case, they should adhere to the AFC ad limit guidelines which allows up to 3 ad units per page.

A WebmasterWorld thread asks when did Google change the policy from one to three? Maybe never? Maybe high-end smartphone devices were never considered WAP only?

Do you have ads on your mobile templates?

I don't but I think that might change soon, at least to test it.
