A forum member pointed out that the Yahoo Ambassador Program signup page is no longer accepting new members. I'm not able to find any news on this story at press time, but I do have a screenshot of the page:
The question remains: is Yahoo dropping Search Marketing altogether? Forum members say they can still log in and see their reports, but that makes sense for the time being. Maybe, instead, they are dissolving the program and focusing more on Google ads. One doesn't know until someone at Yahoo tells us what's going on.
With that said, what's up, Yahoo? :)

Yeah I discovered this on this past Friday and was quite surprised to see it. I would be very interested in knowing what you find out. It may not directly be the result of future plans to eliminate Panama but it sure is peculiar, no?

This should clear things up, quoted via email from a Yahoo Ambassador Program Manager: "Yahoo has not discontinued the program however they are currently not taking any new applications to the program. Yahoo is working on making some changes to the program and until these changes have been made no new Ambassadors will be accepted into the program. Yahoo will continue to service and support their existing Ambassadors, like yourself."

Being that Bing is now powering these ads, I'd think so. Yea.

I'm going to assume this program is toast. All the old links to the program are missing and the only sites I see still endorsing it are out of date. Bing owns Yahoo now and so they have cut down on some of Yahoo's old services.
