Google Wants Your Gmail Story

If you have been logged onto Gmail in the last day or so, you might have seen a link where you can share your Gmail story. That's right. Google is looking for you to share your stories on how you use Gmail in a 30 second or less video.

Details are posted in Google Groups but here are the criteria:

  1. 30 seconds maximum
  2. Make sure your audio is set up correctly (so that you're heard)
  3. Get creative
  4. Tell a story about how Gmail has impacted you.
  5. Play nice - don't trash other email providers that you used before Gmail.
  6. Make sure your video doesn't violate any copyright laws and complies with Gmail and YouTube's terms.

Pretty cool. Will you participate?

Forum discussion continues at Google Groups.

Absolutely Not. I do not trust Gmail as I know it stores data.

Yes I will, I don't trust Google either but it's too late, they already have a huge amount of information on me, besides I love the ads they serve in my Gmail, very entertaining.

You don't trust Gmail? Are you considering a relationship with it? They ALL store data.

Everything you do is tracked. I work for someone of interest and trust me, if you are using an ISP at home or work, everything about you is being stored. Everything. You can run but you can't hide.

Why???? Why is this cool and why would anyone bother? For the fame and fortune of promoting Gmail? What a ludicrous idea.
