Google's official birthday is on September 27th, although they've celebrated it on different dates in the past, the 27th is what they've used for the past several years. So when I saw pictures at Google with the 18th birthday balloons and such floating around, I was confused. I first spotted it on Instagram a week ago, which was August and Google never celebrated their birthday in August.
It seems like Google was just preparing the social media posts for their upcoming big 18th birthday.
Google posted on Twitter yesterday "Did you know we're celebrating our company's 18th birthday this month? #itsmybirthday #partylikeits1998" With the same framed picture from that Instagram version.
Here is another one, completely different on Instagram. I suspect the 18th birthday celebration will be a big one at Google.
