Google: New GoogleBot & Indexing Bugs Unrelated

Google Unrelated

Google's Martin Splitt said the new GoogleBot has zero impact or was completely unrelated to the indexing bugs we saw back in April. He said "Fair question, but no" when I asked if they were related at all.

After I asked him about the timing and testing phases of the new GoogleBot, I asked if it was possible they were at all related. He said no.

At the 23:13 mark into the video:

Barry Schwartz: And the indexing bugs has nothing at all to do with this at all?

Martin Splitt: We're talking indexing, not rendering. Fair question, but no.

I know these questions are small but the more we know, the more we can piece some things together and get a better picture of what is going on.
