
Microsoft Advertising has announced the launch of several new AI features and upgrades across the ad platform. This is to "To help businesses succeed across all three eras of the human, LLM, and agentic web," Microsoft wrote.
Here is what is new:
(1) Copilot Checkout Updates: Microsoft expanded availability of Copilot Checkout to Copilot mobile app with more than half a million merchants live. Its integration of Shopify’s Catalog into Copilot via Microsoft’s commerce API, bringing real-time feeds from millions of Shopify merchants to Copilot; and, customer loyalty experiences launching in Copilot, with Target as an early partner enabling account linking and rewards access. Together, these updates make it easier for people to move from discovery to purchase in a single AI‑powered flow, Microsoft told me.
(2) UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) Adoption: Microsoft is introducing support for UCP-ready feeds in the Microsoft Merchant Center, giving merchants a streamlined way to share data.
(3) Clarity AI Visibility Insights: Microsoft expanded Microsoft Clarity’s AI Visibility insights, which help publishers and businesses understand how AI systems crawl their site, interpret and cite content, and surface their products and site information so they can identify gaps, benchmark against competitors, and prioritize what to improve next at no cost.
(4) AI Max & Audience Generation: Microsoft Advertising introduced a new solutions in the Microsoft Advertising Platform like AI Max to improve reach and relevance for Search campaigns through expanded query matching, personalized creative, and smarter URL routing, while the new Audience Generation solution lets advertisers describe their ideal customer in plain language and have AI translate that into actionable audience segments.
