Google announced a new feature for product searching in the UK, Nearby Shops.

Nearby Shops shows you nearby stores that sell what you are searching for. To try it out, you need to search on Google Products Search UK and it has to match stores that have those items in their stores. This is not inventory levels like Google has in the U.S. but it is close.

How does your UK store get included? UK merchants can appear in the Nearby Stores feature by linking your Google Places and Google Merchant Center account with the same website URL. To learn more, visit the Google help center.
