Google May Be Formatting Your Phone Number Incorrectly

International Phone NumbersThere is yet another known bug with Google Maps / Places as verified by Jade Wang of Google.

Jade said in a Google Places Help thread that some (not many) international Google pages "that went through the new verification/merge process are having their phone numbers reformatted."

Jade said there are Googlers working on fixing it.

So if your phone number is formatted incorrectly or if you noticed a sharp decline in calls, it is likely due to this.

I have not seen any issues or examples myself, have you?
