Google has finally brought back the sports scores to the Google News home page. On the right panel, you will see the return of the sports box.

It went away sometime in January of this year (over 10 months ago) and now it is back.

Stacie Chan from the Google News team said in a Google News Help thread, "Good news! It looks like the sports scores widget is back on the Google News homepage."
