Google Test Local Reviews By Traveler Type

This may be one of the largest Google local reviews tests I've seen from Google in a long long time. Of course, this was spotted by Sergey Alakov and not just posted on Twitter but also on his blog, which is rare for Sergey. In any event, Google not only changed the user interface to display sharper reviews but is now testing breaking out the reviews by traveler type.

Google here lets you filter reviews given by couples, families, solo, business and by the rooms, location and service and facilities. It is pretty drastic for Google to break out reviews like this and likely, if the business has enough reviews, way useful for the searchers.

Here are screen shots from Sergey, not all of them, but the most shocking ones to me. You can click on any to enlarge:

Google is constantly testing user interfaces, more so on local results than anywhere else. But these user interfaces are wow.
