Dan Shure noticed Google showing a knowledge panel on the left side, where it looks like it is in the featured snippet box area. He posted this on Twitter.
It almost seems like a bug or photoshopped but I can personally replicate this myself for the query - [radio history]. Here is a screen shot:
Here is what a normal one looks like:
We've seen the opposite, where the knowledge panels began looking for like featured snippets but not this.
