Artem Russakovskii posted a screen shot on Google+ of Google allowing some Android users the ability to install Android apps directly within the search results.

These users do not have to go out of the search results, into the Google Play store and click install app there to add an app to their device. Instead, they just click install from the search results interface and it downloads immediately.

This would make it much easier for app developers to promote their apps, with the addition of App Indexing.

I assume this only works on Android devices for Android apps and not iOS devices for iOS apps, but nevertheless, this would be a nice feature to add to the Google mobile search results for downloading any app.

Here is a screen shot from Artem Russakovskii (click to enlarge):

Apps are going to be very big this year, so get to it. Oh and if you have not downloaded our app, go get it at www.seroundtable.com/app.
