Varvy Tools: Google Guidelines Testing Tool

Patrick Sexton created a free and useful revamp of his tools at He calls it the Google Guidelines tool. Why? Well, he went through changed in the Google guidelines for us a few months ago and decided to put a tool together that tested them all.

You can find all the of the Google webmaster guidelines here and now, while they are called guidelines, things like having a robots.txt is not necessary if you do not want to block GoogleBot. So keep that in mind. This tool doesn't imply you are 100% doing something wrong but shows where you may be missing something based on those guidelines.

This is an entirely different tool than you have seen in the past. If you have run your pages through this tool in the past. I suggest you do so again...
