Cindy Krum

This is part of the say something nice about an SEO/SEM series - feel free to nominate someone over here.

Cindy Krum, lives in Denver, Colorado with her amazing dog Barkley and two cats, Faith and Grace. Cindy has become known as the leader in all things mobile and marketing. Cindy has a firm grasp on the technology end of mobile and how it interconnects with SEO, SEM, and other marketing technologies and avenues.

She is gifted in that she is able to run a marketing firm, do a deep dive in the code, and on top of all that, be able to communicate to novice beginners how all this stuff works. That is a true talent and talent she clearly understands she has, and takes that talent and uses it not just for her own financial gain but to help others in our industry.

She has contributed her knowledge, time, and resources at conferences all around the world, in contributed articles across dozens of publications, on Facebook, Twitter and other social media. She is someone who is so generous with her time and knowledge that it is humbling for others. Plus, she does it all with class, professionalism and a smile.

Mary Davies nominated Cindy and wrote:

There's a quote that I love that says "You can always tell who the strong women are. They're the ones building one another up instead of tearing each other down." And Cindy is the perfect example of a strong woman by this definition. I've been in this industry since 2004 and all who have been around this long know that it was a very male dominated world back then though it is changing rapidly these days and I believe that is very much in part thanks to people like Cindy. So thanks Cindy for encouraging the success of the women around you rather than being threatened by it. Thanks for lifting the women around you up instead of pushing them down. Thanks for being a friendly face in any conference room I walk into. Oh and also, thanks for so generously sharing all your brilliance with us :)

Favorite thing about the SEO community? Our industry is full of such smart people! I love the diversity of backgrounds that people bring into SEO, and the appetite that the people in the industry all seem to have to learn and grow.

One piece of advice to the SEOs out there? Specialize! SEO is getting so big, and starting to include so much more. It can be overwhelming if you try to be an expert in all of it. The best thing to do is to keep up to date on everything you can, but pick a specialty and learn everything you can about it.

Favorite things in general? I love coffee, naps, chocolate and the color purple – very decadent!

What you want to be known for in the SEO space? Mobile SEO, App SEO and spotting important trends in our space before they are obvious.

You can learn more about Cindy at her company site or on LinkedIn and follow her on Twitter.
