Google AdWords: "Train & Gain" Contest Begins

Google is running an AdWords program named train and gain. The program began yesterday and it encourages AdWords advertisers to experiment with features they have never tried before and encourages them to manage their accounts on a more frequent basis.

It is too late to sign up for this program now, but those who have signed up already will "receive four weeks of tips and advice on some of the most important aspects of AdWords." Plus, Google said "you'll not only learn new ways to make Google AdWords more effective for your business; you'll also have the chance to win some very cool prizes."

Google explained:

Starting on October 4 2010, you’ll get one "training" email each week. The email will focus on a different feature of your AdWords account, and provide easy instructions on how to put it to work. So in literally a few minutes each week, you’ll learn how to put your advertising budget (and efforts) where they make the most sense for your business.

What can you win?

Each advertiser who successfully completes the steps below will receive customized Google stickers showing their website URL and keyword. Additionally, 15 lucky finalists will win an Android phone... and one overall winner will go to Sydney to meet a Google AdWords expert in Google's Sydney office.

Pretty cool!

Those participating in the program are sharing the tips and knowledge they are learning from this "train and gain" event in a Google AdWords Help thread.
