Google AdWords Now With Domains In Titles

Ten days ago, I received a tip from a reader that Google was testing domain names in the title of the AdWords ads. We posted the tip at Search Engine Land and then it went quiet. But now many many more people are seeing the test, where Google is placing the ads domain name at the end of the title portion of the ad.

Here is a picture from Nilaye Thakrar of Workopolis was surprised to see his ad with the domain name in the title, when he specifically did not put his domain name there.

Here is what I see, without any change to the ad:

I have seen a recent increase in questions about why Google is doing this via email, Twitter and forums. So I guess Google is ramping up this test.
