Reported at WebmasterWorld, it appears that the Google keyword tool is blocking displaying suggested keywords for some gambling related terms.
For example, if you try plugging in [casino] into the tool, Google will not suggest any other related terms. Here is a screen shot:
I've tried this being signed in as well and it made no difference.
I am not sure if this is a new thing, a bug or intentional.
One AdWords advertiser was upset to not be able to use the tool to find related keywords. He asked:
Apparently Google has applied some kind of block for gambling keywords. Does anyone know of a setting that would get around this restriction?I've tried that checking 'Include adult ideas' does not work.
Any ideas?

Anyone who knows the history of Google and the gambling industry (and I am going way back to the days when online casinos and sports books could actually advertise on AdWords) will tell you that Google is very hyper-sensitive to this sector. Even before they were public they took a very conservative approach and started to distance themselves. Not sure why the KW tool wouldn't even show you other words (in terms of their reasoning) but I am also not surprised to see this happen.

doubt this is permanent - G is happy to let webmasters use adwords for traffic acquisition, and obviously it can be used to gather data too. I pity the gaming webmasters who are "shooing in the dark" in terms of kw research, but hey - they can afford it, right? :)

They might be an error somewhere, except they want to start loosing customers
