A couple of weeks ago, Google employees started to receive their W2 forms for their employment salaries to be filed with the various tax agencies. Here is a screenshot of Malte Ubl's W2 email from Google. Malte left Google last year but still worked at Google long enough to get a W2 in 2023.
Form W-2 is an Internal Revenue Service tax form used in the United States to report wages paid to employees and the taxes withheld from them.

You might have misunderstood this tweet. I did get this email, but I certainly shouldn't have gotten a W2 from Google for 2023.

Respectively, this was really about TurboTax just making up the email subject rather than *actually* having a W2 ready
