Google: Too Many Repeated Internal Links Doesn't Hurt

Google's John Mueller responded to a question on Twitter around having too many internal links with repeated links to the same page. John implied that it doesn't hurt for you to link naturally internally to your pages, even if you think you might be over doing it with internal links.

The question was: "are repeated internal links detrimental to the google ranking position of a website? Does google ignore them or does google give minus points for every repeated internal link?"

John responded "No, feel free to link naturally within your site!"

Back in 2010, we asked SEOs if they thought you can over do it with internal links and 65% of you said, yes you can.

So here, Google is saying, don't worry about it.
