Google Increases Their Index Capacity; GoogleBot Indexing More URLs

Google's Gary Illyes said on Twitter that Google is now able to index more URLs across the web.

Gary wrote in response to a question from Glenn Gabe about noticing a spike in index rates on the Google Search Console. Gary said Google is now indexing more of the URLs.

He said:

Looks it's a standard change on our end to the better: we can now index even more URLs everywhere, globally!

As you would think, as the web grows, and it grows fast, Google has to keep adding on more storage capacity to handle it. It might be Google's continued efforts to add more capacity to store more content, which leads to more URLs being indexed.

Of course, GoogleBot does have a crawl budget set to a web site. But Google may have just increased that crawl budget globally.
