Google Glass announced on Google+ that they have pushed out a new software update to Google Glass users, this version jumps from the old version of XE12 to XE16.
The biggest change is that it updates the OS to KitKat, the latest version of Android. Which means it is the most stable OS and it brings more features for developers to work with when building native Glassware.
Other features include:
- Photo Bundles
- Send a message with a photo
- Smarter Home menu sorting
- Sharing to Google+ communities
- Play Music Instant Mixes
- Easier Wifi setup with Android
- Networking help
- Improved Glass feedback and troubleshooting
Features removed include:
- Video calls
- Song search
