Google Ads is releasing two new features for multi-location retailers including Local Customer Optimization and Store Sales in Data Manager. Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads Liaison, wrote on X, "Ahead of the holiday rush, we're introducing two features for multi-location retailers, restaurants and local services to drive and measure in-store sales with ease."
She explained what each feature does:
Local Customer Optimization
The Local Customer Optimization can be turned on at the campaign level with a toggle in Performance Max for store goals campaigns. Google Ads will prioritize your budget to reach consumers across Google Maps, Waze and local Search "right when they’re actively in-market nearby," Ginny wrote.

This is rolling out now.
Store Sales in Data Manager
Google said with Store Sales in Data Manager they are "reducing the technical load to share your in-store sales data to your Google Ads account." Now you can link your CRM or Google Sheets right in Google Data Manager. You can then measure and optimize toward your highest potential walk-in customers.
Look for this to roll out in the coming weeks, Ginny said.
