Google sent out emails the other day to some advertisers that may be impacted by changes coming to enhanced conversions for web or enhanced conversions for leads. Google said they will be simplifying this by consolidating enhanced conversions for web and enhanced conversions for leads into a single, unified setting.
The email says:
Subject: Simplify enhanced conversions settings in your Google Ads account with an on/off switch
You're receiving this message because one or more of your Google Ads accounts enhanced conversions for web or enhanced conversions for leads.
What's changing? We're consolidating enhanced conversions for web and enhanced conversions for leads into a single, unified setting. You'll no longer need to choose a single implementation method, such as the Google tag, Google Tag Manager or the Google Ads API.
This was posted by a number of Google Ads advertisers but Bia Camargo wrote on LinkedIn posted what is changing, she wrote:
In April 2026, Google will accept user provided data from both website tags and API at the same time.
Then in June 2026, Enhanced conversions for web and leads will merge into one feature:
- Single setting
- On or off
- No more method selection
No action required. Accounts using enhanced conversions will continue running as is, with the option to opt out at the conversion level.
Here is part of that email:
